Summer hols!!

My dearest TOK workers,
Your results will be mailed soon to your parents. One reason why some of you haven't done as excitingly well as you thought you would, is perhaps because your assignments were not posted on your blogs on time, rather some of them weren't posted at all!! Of 15 assignments (in all, including reflections) to be posted on your blogs for the months of March and April, some of you had barely posted 6 assignments!
Anyway, the assignments due over the summer break are:
1. Finding a copy of "The Tao of Pooh" by Benjamin Hoff and READING it before we resume classes
2. TWO K@W assignments due: May 23rd and June 13th, 2009

This isn't a lot of home-work, so make sure it is done please! Please enjoy yourselves as much as you can this vacation because the coming academic year promises to be extremely challenging.

The Little Prince

This month we'll be doing a tiny bit of reading along with the usual assignments


You are expected to read 'The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint Exupéry in English (or French, though reading it in French may be a tad difficult for a few!)

Along with the usual reflection(s) that may find their place on your respective blogs, you are also expected to put in an essay (1000 words). What you must do is reflect on any one chapter of the book that you liked and include the following elements in your essay -
- Bring out the different ways of knowing in that chapter alone
- Look for different areas of knowledge that you could link a certain knowledge issue (that you are working on) to
- Justify your choice of the chapter selected. Which personal experiences came to your mind while you were exploring a certain knowledge issue?

Let us not forget that an essay must not be written as if you are merely replying to questions. Your ideas, thoughts, examples must be inter-mingled so beautifully, that they flow and sing melodiously.

I'll be checking your blogs by April 30, 2009 for all your assignments ...

Deadline closing in...

I've barely got three blogs till now that can be accessed! The others must be accessible to me by midnight today if you wish to be graded for this month, and when I say accessible, I also mean that your monthly reflection must go on your individual blogs.....

Comments on any journal entry are welcome, though lets not attack each other on such a public forum! If you disagree with what someone says, frame your thoughts in such a way that they do not hurt the sentiments of the writer, but allow him/her to contemplate further over his/her thoughts.
